The end of the school year is one of the most exciting times of the year for me. The satisfaction alone of knowing that I have almost completed another year of my schooling is enough to make me celebrate, so just thinking about all the events and celebrations coming up in the next few weeks makes me even more ready for what lies ahead!
This week for me, has signified the beginning of the end of my Freshman year. After being acknowledged with several awards at my schools academic award ceremony on Tuesday night, I realized that we have in fact made it to the end, and that now, we get to celebrate the year of hard work we have completed.
I’m sure that many people are in the same position as me of having a million things to go to, and not being entirely sure of what to wear. That is why today, I decided to share what I wore to my brother, Gabriel’s Spring concert this morning, and share a little bit about what my day looked like.
This look is extremely versatile, having the potential to be as casual, sophisticated, or bold as you like. I simply adore this white Kate Spade dress. It is so comfortable and can be worn so many ways. Today, I decided to keep my look pretty basic, as its quite warm here in NYC at the moment. To stay comfy yet still dressed up, I strapped on my black metro watch by Kate Spade, carried my Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag, slipped on a pair of plain black flats from Nine West, and called it a day. This outfit could have been brought to life even more with additional accessories, a jacket, or some bold shoes. However, I personally have been obsessed with the minimalistic look lately, and wanted to show that with this look. Perfect for any graduation, award ceremony, concert, or luncheon, this outfit can easily be molded to fit anyones personality and is a safe bet for all occasions.
With my parents being in LA at the moment, and having the day off school, I have gotten to spend my day adventuring around NYC with my little brother, Gabriel after his concert this morning. We never really get the chance to explore together and simply enjoy each others company, so today, when the opportunity became available, neither of us hesitated to do so. From getting fro-yo, to exploring Barnes and Noble, to lunch dates, to debating political affairs, we had the most marvelous day. I had one of those moments today where I realized just how fast he’s growing up. It seems like yesterday I was teaching him how to play tag, and now we’re having long discussions on the French Revolution. I am so blessed to not only have Gabriel as my brother, but also my friend.
