My Favorite Things: Christmas

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

^This picture was taken at a Christmas party a few days ago and I absolutely LOVE it! Definitely one of my favorites from this Christmas season.

OK, by this point, my love for Christmas is clearly no secret at all. Therefore, with today being Christmas Eve, I saw it only right for me to share some more of the specific things that make Christmas so special to me. So, I made a list of my favorite Christmas-related things.

Favorite Christmas Movie?

My favorite Christmas movie is a tie between Elf and Home Alone 2. I seriously love these films SO much and may or may not watch them all year round… Nonetheless, they’re amazing, and they’re both set in NYC which just makes them even better, right?

Favorite Christmas Song?

OK, I’m splitting this into two questions because picking just one song related to Christmas is WAY too hard. So, my favorite Christmas carol is O Holy Night, but my favorite Christmas song is All I Want For Christmas is You.

Favorite Christmas Tradition?

One of my favorite Christmas traditions actually takes place on Christmas Eve (lol). But every Christmas Eve my family and I build a gingerbread house, watch Elf, and exchange one gift (which is almost always pajamas). It sounds simple, but I love it SO much!

Favorite Type of Christmas Tree: Real or Fake?

REAL! No question about it.

Favorite Place to Spend the Holidays?

OK, because I am from Australia, 12 out of the 15 Christmas Days I’ve experienced thus far have been in hot weather. However, I must admit, I prefer a cold Christmas to a hot Christmas any day. So my favorite place to spend the holidays is for sure anywhere cold with my family.

I seriously cannot believe that Christmas has come so quickly. I am praying that you all have a wonderful day filled with love and joy, and that you remember that although these celebrations are great, the reason behind this season is so much greater. May we all be reminded of our Lord’s everlasting love and goodness to us!

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal.

Sincerely,

M. xo.
