Junior Prom

***OK BEFORE YOU READ ANYTHING I JUST WANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ALTHOUGH THIS POST IS TRÈS LATE, IT IS TRÈS WORTH IT. Ok, that’s all. Enjoy!***

Growing up, I was always obsessed with the idea of an American prom. I guess it was the severity of Disney’s influence on my 8-year-old mind that caused such a phenomena, but I mean, can you blame me? Have you seen the prom scene in Princess Protection Program? It’s incredible, ok!

Anyway, with this kind of upbringing, you can only imagine my excitement when I realized that by moving to the U.S., I would in fact experience not one, but TWO American proms. The 8-year-old within me is still freaking out.

Now you’re probably thinking, “you guys don’t have prom in Australia?”, and we do! BUT, it’s not called prom, you only have one at the end of senior year, AND it’s just all-round different. And besides, it 100% does not have the desired Princess Protection Program vibe.

SO ANYWAY, all this to say that I had my JProm last month, and long story short, it fulfilled all my 8-year-old dreams. I wanted to document this entire day, since I know it is one that I will remember forever. So sit back, relax, and enjoy a ridiculous amount of pictures of me in one outfit!

Talk soon!

All the love.

Sincerely,

M. xo.

I got my hair done at my forever favorite blowout destination, Dreamdry. Sorry drybar, but dreamdry wins 100x over.

After my hair, I got my makeup done at the Chanel counter. Everyone there was SO kind and they did my makeup way better than I ever could have so needless to say I was one happy gal.

I was so happy with how everything looked. My dress was from Lulus and I am so glad I went with the red! It made my ridiculously pale skin not look too vampire-ish, so it was def. a win in my books!

SO guess who can’t put on a boutonnière!!!! Clearly killing it at all these prom traditions.

If anyone knows what my hands are doing pls lmk because I can’t seem to figure out what was going on.
