OK, I know that you are all probably over talking about Fall, and are excitedly basking in all things Christmas, BUT, before I myself go all Christmas crazy, I wanted to share my pictures from apple picking this year. The past few months have been chaotic to say the least, so I am excited to finally share this years experience with you!
If you’re wondering if my jeans are supposed to look a little rustic on the knees: they’re not. I just fell over three times.
Still smiling despite the reality of there being more apples on the ground than the trees..
This year, my family and I went apple picking with my little brother’s school (aka my old school ;)), and it was so much fun! Being with a bunch of friends from middle school & other family friends was the best way to spend my time. We went to a different farm to last year, but it was still pretty great. There was a hay-ride, pumpkin patch, corn maze, cider donuts, and of course, endless rows of apple trees; so basically, everything you could ever want.
It was such a beautiful day and I was so glad to spend it with such inspiring and supportive people. I realized around 3 hours in that I hadn’t actually picked any apples because I had been talking to too many people. All there is to say about that is that by the time I got around to the trees there were literally no apples left, so I had to go fill my bag at a separate basket full of pre-picked apples. Yeah, I was low-key a little disappointed, but quickly forgot the entire affair once I saw the Empanada’s (true story).
I am so blessed to be part of a community that is incredibly supportive of me and my endeavors, and I am so glad I was able to spend one of my most favorite days of the year with them.
Here’s to the end of a beautiful Fall season and the beginning of a magical Christmas!
Sincerely,
M. xo.
